Sophia Airhart

Sophia Airhart currently serves as the Director and Head of Pulmonary Hypertension and Regional Medical Director of Heart Failure at Baystate Health, a position held since January 2025. Prior to this role, Airhart was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at University of Utah Health from March 2023 to January 2025 and Medical Director at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center from November 2022 to January 2025. Airhart has extensive experience as an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist at Providence St. Vincent Heart Clinic from May 2020 to November 2022, and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona prior to that. Early training included an Advanced Heart Failure Fellowship at Allegheny Health Network and a Cardiology Fellowship at University of Washington Medical Center. Airhart earned a Doctor of Medicine from Oregon Health & Science University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Whitman College.
