Bill Chandler is an accomplished music professional with extensive experience in orchestral direction and artistic engagement. Currently serving as Director of the BBC Symphony Orchestra & Chorus and Orchestra Director of the BBC Concert Orchestra since September 2021, Bill has previously held significant roles at the Royal Scottish National Orchestra from April 1995 to September 2021, including Director of Concerts & Engagement and Director of Artistic Planning & Engagement. Bill's career began as a violinist with the Houston Symphony from September 1990 to April 1995. Bill Chandler holds a Master's degree in Music from Rice University and a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from the University of Connecticut.
