Fernando Alonso

Fernando Alonso is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in leadership roles at BBVA. Currently serving as Country Manager and Presidente at BBVA Provincial since November 2023, Alonso previously held multiple significant positions at BBVA from 2003 to 2023, including Head of Commercial Banking for Spain and Europe, as well as several regional directorships. Prior to that, Alonso was Country Manager at BBVA Bélgica from 2007 to 2010 and worked as a Senior Corporate Banker at BBVA. Alonso holds an MBA from IE Business School, a PDG from IESE Business School, and a Licenciatura en CCEE y EE with a specialization in Commercial from Universidad de Valladolid.
