Reed Walker

Reed Walker is an experienced Applications Programmer Analyst I at BBVA since July 2018, where responsibilities include developing and maintaining APIs for the Mortgage point of sale team, collaborating with front-end vendors and the LOS team, and focusing on backend multithreaded and asynchronous processes. Reed has a strong business knowledge of Mortgage and Retail Lending and developed a nationwide API for BBVA's credit decisioning engine. Additionally, Reed serves as a technical resource and engineer on the Commercial Floor Planning project, addressing user software needs and migrating systems from DBISAM to Oracle. Previous experience includes programming at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, creating business software in an agile team environment, and holding various roles that involved collaboration with stakeholders and client engagement. Reed's education includes studies at Covalence and the UAB Collat School of Business, alongside foundational education at The University of Alabama and Pelham High School.
