Eric Nelson, CPA, CMA has a diverse work experience in the transportation industry. Eric is currently the Director Strategic Real Estate, Supply Chain, and Sustainability at BC Transit, a position they have held since May 2022. Before joining BC Transit, Eric worked at Coast Mountain Bus Company in various managerial roles. In these positions, Eric led teams and provided strategic guidance and support to stakeholders at all levels. Eric was responsible for cost accounting, budgeting, board reporting, and variance explanations. Eric also held the position of Manager of Customer Information from May 2006 to November 2008, overseeing customer service departments and managing customer inquiries, transit scheduling, public relations, and lost and found services.
Earlier in their career, Eric worked as a Technical Product Specialist at Trapeze Group from January 2005 to May 2006. Eric started their career at Coast Mountain Bus Company in 1999, where they served as a Fleet Systems Information Analyst from December 1999 to June 2002 and later as a Senior Business Analyst from June 2002 to December 2004.
Overall, Eric Nelson brings extensive experience in supply chain management, sustainability, inventory management, financial analysis, and customer service to their current position at BC Transit.
Eric Nelson, CPA, CMA completed the CMA Strategic Leadership Program from 2012 to 2014, specializing in CPA and CMA.
