Kate Bilney is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as the Manager of Communications at the BC Financial Services Authority since January 2024, Kate previously held multiple positions at the BC Liquor Distribution Branch, including A/Director of Corporate Communications and Stakeholder Relations and Senior Manager of Communications and Stakeholder Relations. Notable achievements include leading the "Do You Proud" campaign in support of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and spearheading communications for BC’s non-medical cannabis operations. Earlier roles at The City of Whyalla and Fairfax Media involved managing communications strategies, rebranding projects, and producing high-quality written content. Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University and a Diploma in Journalism from Deakin University.
