Michelle Sharma has a diverse range of work experience in the field of human resources. Michelle began their career as a Human Resources Administrator at RSA in 2002. Michelle then joined Jazz Aviation LP in 2006 as a Human Resources Manager, where they were responsible for leading the employee relations function in Western Canada. Michelle managed a variety of HR/LR matters, including workplace investigations, disability case management, and collective bargaining. In 2016, Michelle worked as a Labour Relations Officer (contract) at Canada Post / Postes Canada, and later as an Employee Relations Manager at Southpointe Academy. Most recently, they are serving as a Human Resources Manager at BC Financial Services Authority since 2019.
Michelle Sharma completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Gender Studies and Psychology at The University of British Columbia from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a Diploma in Human Resources Management at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, which they obtained in 2002. Additionally, Michelle obtained certifications such as CHRP from BC HRMA in July 2011 and became a CPHR member through CPHR BC & Yukon in the same month and year.
