Gabriel Imbert has extensive work experience in the finance and investment industry. Gabriel began their career in 2004 at TD Securities, where they worked in wholesale foreign exchange operations. In 2007, they joined the Bank of Canada as a research assistant and later became a senior analyst and economist. From 2013 to 2017, Gabriel worked at the Alberta Securities Commission as a regulatory analyst, specializing in energy markets. Since 2017, they have been with BCI, where they started as an economic and investment analyst before moving on to become a senior associate and currently holds the position of Principal, Macro Investment Research. Overall, Gabriel's work experience spans various roles in research, analysis, and regulation within the finance and investment field.

Gabriel Imbert has a diverse education history. Gabriel obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics from the University of Ottawa from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from the Schulich School of Business - York University. In 1996-1999, they completed a Diploma in Electronics Engineering at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology. Gabriel also holds a certification as an Energy Risk Professional (ERP®) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
