Be the Voice of Girls (BVG) is a global initiative dedicated to empowering young women through the intersection of English language learning, the arts, and cultural exchange. Originally launched in Turkey with the support of the U.S. Mission in Ankara and the Regional English Language Officer, BVG fosters confidence, creativity, and leadership in girls from diverse and marginalized backgrounds, equipping them with essential skills to become global citizens and changemakers.

Our Mission

At BVG, we believe in the power of language and the arts to break barriers, amplify voices, and create opportunities. By combining spoken English with artistic expression—from storytelling and digital media to music and design—our program nurtures self-expression, critical thinking, and cross-cultural understanding. Our unique methodology allows participants to "be the voice" through their words, art, and advocacy.

Our Impact

Since its inception, BVG has touched the lives of young women across multiple cohorts, helping them gain fluency in English while fostering a sense of belonging, empowerment, and leadership. We work with international educators, volunteers, and cultural organizations to provide engaging workshops, mentorship, and hands-on creative projects.
