Teshtar Elavia

Teshtar Elavia has extensive experience in research and development within the medical device industry, with a notable tenure at BD from December 2020 to January 2025, serving in multiple leadership roles including WW VP R&D Medication Delivery Solutions and VP R&D Surgery. Since January 2024, Teshtar has been an Executive in Residence at Columbia Technology Ventures, where responsibilities include aiding entrepreneurs and facilitating the transfer of research innovations. Previous roles include Associate Vice President at Eli Lilly and Company from January 2017 to March 2019, and Global R&D Director at Covidien (Medtronic) from August 2010 to January 2017. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Widener University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
