From 2000 to 2011, Jihad headed the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) platform at HSBC Private Bank Monaco. Prior to this, he worked for Republic National Bank of New York starting in NY in 1987 and moving to Monaco in 1989 until the HSBC takeover in 2000. At Republic he helped set up the equity and Bond trading desk and in the process developed friendships with Ariel, David and Sandy. Jihad has a degree in Civil Engineering from Rice University in Houston and a Masters in Structural Design from Columbia University in New York.
