Elana Grinberg

Elana Grinberg has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Elana is currently working as an Associate Product Designer at BEGiN since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a UX Designer at PreK.com from August 2021 to February 2022.

Before joining PreK.com, Elana worked for GoParrot as a User Experience Designer. In this role, they conducted customer onboarding calls, interviewed subject matter experts, and presented their findings to stakeholders. Elana held this position from March 2020 to January 2021, with a previous short-term stint from May 2020 to March 2020.

In 2019, Elana worked as a User Experience Designer at Practice Makes Perfect. Their responsibilities included conducting user research, usability testing, creating wireframes and prototypes, and facilitating client presentations. Elana held this role from November 2019 to January 2020.

Elana's journey into the field of user experience design began with their studies at Flatiron School in 2019. As part of the User Experience course, they completed four student projects and contract work with a real client. Through these projects, they developed essential skills such as conducting interviews, creating personas, journey maps, and wireframes, as well as collaborating with UI teams, clients, and developers.

Prior to their career in design, Elana worked as a Science Teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools from August 2015 to July 2019. In this role, they designed and taught curriculum in multiple subjects, managed assistant teachers, and analyzed student data.

Elana also has experience as a Private Childcare Provider, managing multiple clients in NYC, coordinating schedules, and adapting to diverse household environments. Elana held this role from February 2013 to August 2015.

Additionally, Elana gained valuable industry experience as a Fashion Design Intern at Parker. In this role, they assisted senior designers in design meetings, created flat sketches, and supported buyers at trade shows. Elana held this position from August 2012 to January 2013.

Elana Grinberg began their education journey in 2008, enrolling in Binghamton University. Elana pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree and specialized in Studio Art with a concentration in Drawing. Elana completed their undergraduate education in 2012.

After a brief break from formal education, Elana decided to further enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of Fashion Design. In 2012, they joined the Fashion Institute of Technology and enrolled in Continuing and Professional Studies in Fashion Design program. Elana completed their studies in 2013.

In 2019, Elana Grinberg pursued a new field of study and enrolled in the Flatiron School. Here, they focused on User Experience Design, a discipline that combines elements of visual design, psychology, and technology to create meaningful interactions between users and digital products.
