William Patterson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. William started their career in 1975 as LTC in the US Army, serving until 1980. Following their military service, they worked at UAB Hospital as a Professor of Psychiatry from 1980 to 1989. In 1992, they joined Behavioral Health Systems as the Medical Director. In 1993, they became the President of Birmingham Research Group, a position they held for 22 years until 2015.
William Patterson completed their education in a chronological order. William first attended the University of Alabama from 1964 to 1968, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Following that, they pursued further education at the UAB School of Medicine from 1968 to 1972, earning an MD degree with a focus on Medicine. Finally, from 1972 to 1975, they participated in the Psychiatry Residency Program at Letterman Army Medical Center. No degree was specified for this program.
