Tom Brooks

Tom Brooks is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Sr. Staff Engineer and Technical Competency Lead at Bell Flight since March 2023. Prior to this role, Tom held various leadership positions at Mississippi State University, including Interim Director, Director, and Chief Research Engineer from August 2018 to April 2023, focusing on civil certification and ODA. Tom's career at Bell Flight includes directing civil certification efforts from March 2016 to September 2018, and earlier experience includes roles as IPT Manager and Chief Engineer of the Flight Controls Design group during tenure at Bell Helicopter from 2010 to January 2014. Tom's engineering competencies are supported by a Master of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from Mississippi State University, a Bachelor of Science in Applied Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Computer Science from Massasoit Community College.
