Asa DeForest is an experienced automation engineering professional currently serving as the Automation Engineering Manager at Benchmade Knife since December 2018, after holding the role of Senior Automation Engineer. Prior to Benchmade, Asa worked at PRE-TEC for two decades where responsibilities included designing custom automated manufacturing equipment for various industries and leading cross-functional teams. Asa's earlier career includes roles at HMT Technology as Aluminum Engineering Manager, overseeing process and equipment engineers, and positions at Computer Memory Disk, American Vinyl, and Boeing, where project management and manufacturing efficiency were key focuses. Asa holds a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Oregon Institute of Technology.
