Matthew Shea has over 15 years of experience in the engineering field. From 2003 to 2005, they were a Field Service Technician at Muller Martini Mailroom Systems, Inc. Matthew then worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Muller Martini Mfg from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Mechanical Design Engineer at Tribotek. Matthew then worked as a Product Engineer at Draper Laboratory from 2008 to 2015. In 2015, they became Co-Founder and Lead Product Engineer at GreenScale Technologies. In 2017, they were appointed Chief Product Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Benchmark Space Systems, where they are responsible for solving the growing satellite orbit congestion problem with propulsion systems designed for SmallSats.

Matthew Shea attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
