Ryan McDevitt

CEO and VP of Research and Development at Benchmark Space Systems

Ryan McDevitt has extensive experience in research and development, with a career spanning over 15 years. In 2003, they began as an Engineering Analyst at QuEST Global, where they conducted FEA (ANSYS) of jet engine components, wrote reports, and managed life-cycles. In 2005, they became the Owner of ADD-ON Accessory Outlet. In 2009, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Vermont, where they conducted CFD and multiphysics modeling, experimental methods, and video-microscopy. In 2013, they were hired as an R&D Engineer at Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. In 2014, they became Co-Founder and Lead R&D Engineer at GreenScale Technologies. Most recently, in 2017, they were hired as CEO and VP of Research and Development at Benchmark Space Systems.

Ryan McDevitt received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2003. Ryan then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont, which they completed in 2011. Afterward, they continued their studies at the University of Vermont, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering in 2014.
