Steve Sachman is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in private debt investing. Currently serving as Managing Director of Private Debt at Benefit Street Partners since May 2018, Sachman oversees a group that manages over $18 billion in assets, specializing in direct lending transactions. Prior to this role, Sachman was a Managing Director at BlackRock in the US Private Capital Group, focusing on providing direct lending solutions to middle market companies. Steve's career also includes leadership positions at Deutsche Bank Securities, where Sachman was Head of Building Products/Homebuilding Investment Banking, and earlier roles at Smith Barney and Kidder Peabody & Co. Sachman holds an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a BA in Public Policy Studies from the University of Chicago.
