Neil Laird is an experienced offshore manager and freelance technical consultant in the marine and geotechnical industries, currently serving as Offshore Manager at Benthic since November 2013. With a robust career spanning positions at notable companies such as Solum Fzc and Advanced Geomechanics Pty Ltd, Neil has delivered a range of services including management of offshore surveys, drilling projects, and technical research for clients across the globe. Key projects include leading geotechnical investigations for significant developments like the Browse LNG and Ichthys projects, as well as designing deepwater CPT systems. Neil holds a Master of Science in Drilling and Well Engineering from Robert Gordon University and a Higher National Diploma in Mechatronics from UHI.
