Melanie is a skilled marketing and communications leader specializing in global, national and non-profit strategies. Currently, she is the president of Otero Communications, an organization she founded in 2016 following 25 years of experience in the industry, and founder and partner of the Breakthroughs Institute, a civic engagement and advocacy firm. Through both entrepreneurial ventures, Melanie creates strategies for organizations seeking to expand their impact. In prior roles, Melanie worked with numerous organizations in varying capacities including executive vice president of marketing and communications and vice president of philanthropy. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and MBA, both from Bentley. She has served on the board of trustees since 2017.
