Seung-Jin Sul is a Staff Software Developer and Tech Lead at Berkeley Lab's Data Science and Informatics Group since April 2012, focusing on workflow management systems, backend abstraction for HPCs/Clouds, data management, and CI/CD practices. Prior to this role, Seung-Jin worked as a Software Developer at the DOE Joint Genome Institute, developing bioinformatics pipelines and QA/QC systems, and as a Computer Systems Engineer at NERSC, where contributions included HPC performance evaluation and automated batch job processing systems.
