Venugopal Garre has extensive experience in the finance industry, particularly in the technology and equity sectors. Venugopal began their career in 2001 as a Summer Intern at Colgate-Palmolive. In 2002, they joined Citigroup as a Management Associate, where they worked as a prop trader for fixed income and in corporate bank global solution sales. In 2004, Garre moved to Credit Suisse as a Vice President, covering regional technology sectors and analyzing India media, consumer, and industrials. Venugopal then joined Barclays Capital in 2011 as a Director and became the Asia Ex Japan sector head for industrials and transport sectors. Venugopal was also a founding member of the India equity business at Barclays. In 2016, Garre joined Sanford C. Bernstein as a Managing Director/Senior Analyst, specializing in the South & South East Asia technology sector and serving as the India strategist.

Venugopal Garre completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance and Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, from 2000 to 2002.
