Murat K Berme has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an Operations Engineer at Bertec from 2005 to 2007. Murat K then became the COO of Bertec, responsible for day-to-day operations and company-wide P&L, from 2007 to 2009. Murat K continued to serve as a Board Member at Bertec from 2009 onwards and was appointed CEO in January 2018.
In addition to their work at Bertec, Murat also held various positions at other companies. At Microsoft, they were a Program Manager and Technical Evangelist for Microsoft Ventures, where they designed and managed programs targeting aspiring entrepreneurs from 2011 to 2015. Murat K also worked as a Launch Program Manager for Business Incubation and Online Services at Microsoft from 2011 to 2012.
Murat's experience also includes an MBA internship at AOL Ventures as a Strategy and Operations Consultant, where they provided consulting and support to start-ups in AOL Venture's portfolio. Murat K served as the President of the Technology and New Media Group at NYU Stern from 2010 to 2011, leading a professional student organization focused on technology and its impact on business. Additionally, they had an MBA internship in Channel Marketing Strategy at Samsung Electronics in 2010.
Murat K Berme completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (with a minor in Computer Science) at The Johns Hopkins University in 2004. Afterward, they pursued further education and obtained an MBA degree with a specialization in Strategy and Change Management from NYU Stern School of Business. This educational journey started in 2009 and concluded in 2011.
