Bestway Cement Limited-BCL, founded in 1992 is a concern of its parent Bestway Group UK and also Pakistan’s largest cement manufacturer with a total production capacity of 15.3million tonnes per annum holding 18.5% national market share in Pakistan and employing over 3,000 individuals. At present, there are eight production lines installed at five locations: Hattar, Farooqia, Chakwal, Kallar Kahar and Mianwali. The Company has set-up a Greenfield cement plant with a capacity of 7,200 tonnes of clinker per day near Paikhel, District Mianwali and another at Hattar for 7,200 tonnes clinker per day. Bestway offers the widest product range by any cement company in Pakistan. The range includes Ordinary Portland Cement-OPC, Early Setting Cement, Low Alkali, Low Heat and Low Chrome Cement, Sulphate Resistant Cement, Lime Stone Cement and Tile bond & Grout. Cement is sold in 25kg, 50kg, jumbo & sling bags and in bulk supplies as well. All production and environment processes are compliant with various international (UNFCC Registration, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 18001:2007 & ISO 17025:2005) and national standards and is the Winner of Best Exporters Award for several successive years. As part of its strategy to reduce its reliance on the national grid, Bestway Cement has set up Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant (WHRPP) at all five sites Chakwal, Hattar, Farooqia, Kallar Kahar and Mianwali. Bestway is also the first one to replace its water-intensive cooling towers with Air Cooled Condenser (ACC) System at its Chakwal and Kallar Kahar plants saving about 120m3/hr water. The Company took another giant leap and successfully installed Off-grid Captive Solar Power Plants dispersed across all its production facilities at Hattar, Farooqia, Chakwal, Kallar Kahar and Mianwali with a total capacity of 91.47 MWs. This is by far the largest distributed captive solar power generation capacity to date in the entire region and estimated to reach 114.41 MWs by end of 2023.
