Better Cotton
Joe Morphet is a Digital Communications Coordinator at Better Cotton since February 2023, with a diverse background in account management and communication roles. Previous experience includes multiple positions at Unity from September 2019 to February 2023, where Joe served as an Account Manager, Senior Account Executive, Account Executive, and Graduate Trainee. Earlier roles involve acting as a Student Ambassador at the University of Bath, where effective communication with prospective students was key, and as a Content Writer and Translator for BeSoccer, producing content under tight deadlines. Joe also gained experience as an International Documentary Distribution Assistant at #Edith Paris, enhancing written and spoken communication in French, and developed customer service skills as a Catering Assistant at Pavillion Cafe and Sales Assistant at Oxfam. Joe holds a degree in Modern Languages and European Studies (French and Spanish) from the University of Bath, attended Lancaster Royal Grammar School, and graduated in 2015.

Better Cotton is the world’s largest cotton sustainability programme. Our mission: to help cotton communities survive and thrive, while protecting and restoring the environment. In challenging times, we are meeting the challenge head on. Through our network of field-level partners we have trained over 2.9 million farmers - from the smallest to the largest - in 26 countries on more sustainable farming practices. A quarter of the world’s cotton is now grown under the Better Cotton Standard. We have united the industry’s stakeholders behind our efforts, from ginners and spinners to brand owners, civil society organisations and governments. By 2030 our aim is to have trained 5 million farmers and doubled global production of Better Cotton. Everyone who cares about cotton and its sustainable future can now be part of something better.
