Samantha O'Brien has a diverse education history. In 2022-2023, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Digital Transformation at RMIT University. Prior to that, they obtained an Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management in 2021 from The Spectrum Organization Association Inc. In 2013, Samantha completed a Diploma in Management from CLB Training & Development Pty Ltd. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma in Work Health and Safety from HBA Learning Centre Ptys Ltd in 2014. Samantha holds a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages from the University of Cambridge, which they completed in 2003. Samantha also earned a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from Sandybeach Community Co-operative Society Ltd in 2008. Samantha has further enhanced their skills through various certifications, including Customer Experience Strategy and Design and Digital Leadership from RMIT University in 2023, as well as certifications in Product Badge from monday.com and Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Microsoft Power BI from Nexacu in 2022.

Better Health Network (or BHN) is a not-for-profit community healthcare organisation providing a wide range of integrated health, wellbeing and support services to communities across the inner-south and south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Experience and compassion are at the core of our holistic approach through our vision “your health, your choice, your way.” We celebrate our history, community and diversity, while working to be at the forefront of best-practice support delivery. We exist to deliver accessible health and wellbeing services that meet the needs of our diverse communities and use our influence to create positive change. With a workforce of more than 1,000 employees and volunteers, we provide a wide range of services to support healthy living, general wellbeing and social connection to more than 600,000 people through 20+ sites. These include specialist medical services, dental and allied health, nursing, gamblers’ help and counselling services, as well as aged care social supports and NDIS disability services.
