Jiang Tao is a highly experienced Principal R&D Scientist currently at BGI Genomics since March 2023, with a distinguished career at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research from February 2012 to February 2023, where roles included Principal R&D Scientist, Senior Research and Development Manager, Genomics Technology Manager, Senior Technology Officer, and Senior Research Officer. Additionally, Jiang held the position of NGS Technology Manager at Genome.One from June 2016 to September 2018, and served as a Research Fellow at the BC Cancer Agency and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine from 2004 to 2011. Academic credentials include a PhD in Microbiology from Nankai University, completed in 2004.

Our service laboratories operate under strict internationally recognized quality systems, such as those from CAP and ISO. More recently, BGI developed and launched its own DNBseq™ sequencing technology, based on DNA Nanoball sequencing technology that was invented in our Complete Genomics research facility in Silicon Valley, California. Scientists around the world now rely on DNBseq NGS services for the highest quality data at the lowest cost.
