Mr. M. Gopalakrishna (81) is an independent Director on the Board. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Science and a Bachelor's degree in Law from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He is a retired officer of the Indian Administrative Service and has served on the board of various public limited companies in the capacity of chairman, managing director and director. At present, he is also director-in-charge of the Andhra Pradesh Gas Power Corporation Limited. He has joined the Board on July 18, 2007.

BGR Energy Systems is a holding company. The Company is engaged in construction and maintenance of power plants. Its segments include Capital goods segment, and Construction and EPC contracts segment. It is a manufacturer of capital equipment for power plants, petrochemical industries, refineries, process industries and undertakes turnkey Balance of Plant (BOP) and Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts for Power plants. It operates through five business units: Power projects, which includes turnkey EPC of thermal/gas-based Power Plants; Electrical projects, which includes BOP works for hydro projects and power trading; Oil and Gas equipment, including process equipment package and systems; Environmental engineering, including deaerators, and Air Fin Coolers, which includes process coolers. Its subsidiaries include Progen Systems and Technologies Limited, BGR Boilers Private Limited, BGR Turbines Company Private Limited and Sravanaa Properties Limited.
