David J. Urban has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. David J. is currently the Managing Director at BGR Group and a Senior Advisor at Gothams. Prior to this, they served as a Political Contributor at CNN and held the position of President at American Continental Group (ACG) for over 18 years. David J. has also held board member positions at Virtu Financial, SubCom, Stratolaunch, and Sparton. Additionally, they served as the Executive Vice President of North American Corporate Affairs at ByteDance. David J. Urban is also an Advisory Board Member at REGENT.
David J. Urban started their education in 1982 at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership, which they completed in 1986. In 1994, they obtained a Master of Public Administration degree from the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in Political Science and Government. Additionally, during the same period from 1991 to 1994, they attended the Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law and obtained a Doctor of Law degree, focusing on Law.
In terms of certifications, David J. Urban obtained a Master Diver certification from PADI in June 2019 and a Rescue Diver certification in August 2016, also from PADI.
In 2021, David J. Urban enrolled in the Leading Sustainable Corporations Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Currently, in 2022, they are pursuing a Stratfor Certificate in Geopolitical Analysis from Florida Atlantic University.
