J Sridharan has over three decades of experience in credit, consolidation, commercial banking, business planning, and strategy. Since 2008, he has led IndusInd Bank's Finance department where he played a vital role in planning the bank's strategic activities, including acquisitions, mergers, strategic transactions, debt and equity capital raises. He played an integral role during the merger of BFIL with the Bank.
He has a degree in commerce from Madras University and is a member of the Institute of Cost Accountants. He also holds a Company Secretaries degree from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and a diploma from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysis of India. He is an Associate Member of the Indian Institute of Bankers.

Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited, formerly SKS Microfinance Limited, is a non-banking financial company-micro finance institution (NBFC-MFI). The Company is engaged in providing micro finance services to women in the rural areas of India enrolled as members and organized as Joint Liability Groups. In addition to its business of providing micro-credit, the Company uses its distribution channel to provide other financial products and services to the members. Programs in this regard primarily relate to providing of loans to the members for the purchase of mobile handsets, solar lamps, bicycle and sewing machines, among others.
