Tenzin Chokki

Tenzin Chokki has a diverse range of work experience spanning various organizations and roles. In 2014, they worked as a Project Coordinator for Tibetan Resettlement Stories: Voices of Boston until 2019. Tenzin then joined Massachusetts General Hospital as a Research Intern in the Disparities Research Unit from 2017 to 2018. In 2016, Tenzin served as a Tibetan Interpreter for the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association until 2018. From 2013 to 2018, they also worked as a Tibetan Interpreter for Somerville Public Schools. In 2021, Tenzin worked as a Consultant for Machik from September to November. Tenzin later re-joined Machik in 2018 as a Program Intern until November 2018, and then served as a Program Associate from December 2018 to November 2020. Tenzin's most recent roles include being a Program Manager at Machik from December 2020 to April 2021 and the Founder of Khawakarpo Press from April 2022 onwards. Currently, Tenzin holds the position of Communications Manager at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program since May 2023.

Tenzin Chokki attended Tufts University from 2013 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Study & Human Development and Community Health. In 2017, they also studied abroad at College Year in Athens, focusing on Social Sciences & Humanities. In addition to their education, Tenzin Chokki holds a certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), obtained from the American Heart Association.
