Jake Elsworthy has extensive legal experience, currently serving as Head of Legal for Olympic Dam and Operational Functions at BHP since February 2015, after holding various positions including Managing Counsel in multiple capacities within BHP Legal. Prior to joining BHP, Jake worked as a Lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills from March 2011 to February 2015 and was a Judge's Associate at the District Court of Queensland from January 2010 to February 2011. Jake holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Commercial and Government Law from The Australian National University and dual undergraduate degrees, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB)(Hons) and a Bachelor of Business Management in Real Estate Development, from The University of Queensland.
