Cheten Tshering

Cheten Tshering has extensive experience in the power sector, serving as Chief Manager at Bhutan Power Corporation from October 2009 to August 2024, with a focus on various managerial roles including Sr. Manager of the Smartgrid Section and Senior Divisional Manager, overseeing operations, maintenance, and planning of substations. Cheten also held the position of Divisional Manager, managing the operation of the 132/33/11kV Eastern Grid across five districts in Bhutan, and began as an Electrical Engineer specializing in power system protection. In the pursuit of advanced education, Cheten is currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration at the University of Canberra, expected to conclude in July 2025, and has completed a Master's in Smart Grid and Renewable Energy from Chulalongkorn University.
