Saqib Lal currently serves as the Head of Content at the BioIndustry Association (BIA) since April 2023. Prior to this role, Saqib held various positions in publishing and marketing, including Publisher and Senior Marketing and Sales Manager at The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland from December 2016 to April 2023. Experience also includes working as a Campaign Manager at the Royal Society of Chemistry and a Marketing Executive at Cambridge University Press. Earlier roles include Marketing Assistant at JP Medical Publishers and Bazaarvoice, as well as Copy-Editor/Proofreader at Octopus Publishing Group. Saqib holds an MA in Publishing from UCL and a BA in History from Queen Mary University of London.

Established in 1989, the BIA (BioIndustry Association) exists to encourage and promote a financially sound and thriving bioscience sector within the UK economy and concentrates its efforts on emerging enterprise and the related interests of companies with whom such enterprise trades.
