Helena Gama has extensive experience in pharmacovigilance and drug safety, currently serving as Senior Director at BIAL since 2004, where responsibilities include overseeing the Global Pharmacovigilance System, managing drug safety activities, and directing clinical development for new chemical entities across various phases and regions. Prior roles at BIAL include Director of Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety and Head of Global Pharmacovigilance. Helena began medical career as a Physician at INEM and in Anaesthesiology at Centro Hospitalar Vila Nova de Gaia. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto, a Master's in Epidemiology, and various postgraduate programs in business administration and pharmaceutical medicine.
