Newton Perera

Newton Perera is an experienced professional in the telecommunications and data services sector, currently serving as the Regional Head of Capacity Business and International Capacity Account Manager at BICS since April 2013. In this role, Newton oversees international capacity sales account management and business development in the APAC region while nurturing customer and partner relationships. Prior to BICS, Newton held the position of Senior Manager - International Data Business at Multinet Pakistan, where responsibilities included managing initiatives for international data services and achieving revenue growth targets. Newton's earlier experience includes consulting on network infrastructure technologies at KBSL Information Technologies and engineering roles at Sri Lanka Telecom PLC. Newton holds a Master of Engineering in Information and Communications Technologies from the Asian Institute of Technology and a B.Sc. in Telecommunications from the University of Peradeniya.
