Liangming Peng (Liam)

Liangming (Liam) Peng has a comprehensive work experience in data science and analysis. Liangming(Liam) started their career as a Logistics Technician at MNEG Concessions LLC in 2011 before moving onto positions at various companies. At Tencent, a top IT company, Liam worked as a Game Data Scientist Intern, analyzing game-based data to improve business decisions. Liangming(Liam) then interned as a Sales Data Scientist at FunnelKake, where they optimized CRM approaches through A/B testing experiments.

Liam also gained experience as a Teaching Assistant at Lehigh University, where they taught Calculus II. Liangming(Liam) further honed their skills at Tilting Point, a leading provider of publishing services for mobile game developers. As a Data Analyst, they supported multiple teams with data-driven game insights, data visualization, and report automation. Liangming(Liam) was also responsible for the analytics work of major games, guiding the product roadmap.

Afterwards, Liam joined Electronic Arts (EA) as a Senior Analyst, Data Science. In this role, they provided end-to-end data support for the soft launch of Plants vs Zombies 3, led the revolution of Tableau Dashboard practice, and built a self-serve web app for stakeholders to project game business metrics. Currently, Liam works at Big Fish Games as a Senior Data Scientist.

Liangming (Liam) Peng completed a Bachelor's Degree in Finance at Xiangtan University from 2009 to 2013. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Analytical Finance from Lehigh University, which they completed from 2014 to 2015. Following that, they continued their education at Lehigh University and earned a Master of Science degree in Statistics from 2015 to 2017. Liam Peng then enrolled in a doctoral program at Lehigh University and is currently in the process of completing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Mathematics, which they are expected to finish in 2025.

In addition to their formal education, Liam Peng obtained several certifications. In 2016, they completed certifications in SQL: Analyzing Business Metrics, Learn SQL, and SQL: Table Transformation from Codecademy. Liangming(Liam) also obtained a certification in Learn Java from Codecademy in 2017. Furthermore, Liam Peng completed a certification program called the Certificate of Teacher Development Program, Level One, offered by Lehigh University in 2016. Finally, in 2016, they achieved a beginner-level fluency in Spanish through the Duolingo language learning platform.
