Anthony Thomas

Anthony Thomas is an experienced operations and district manager with a strong background in retail leadership. Currently serving as an Operations Manager at Target since February 2025, Anthony previously held the role of District Manager at Big Lots from October 2011 to the present, overseeing a district of up to 21 stores in Alabama and Tennessee while developing talent internally and externally. Prior to this, Anthony worked at Walmart from April 1992 to April 2010, where responsibilities included serving as District Manager and Market Manager, and involvement as Assistant Manager and General Manager of Tire & Lube Express for seven years. Anthony holds an Associate of Science degree in Computer Science from Walker College (1989-1992) and further education from the University of Alabama in Birmingham (1992-1995).
