Big Thought
Patrick Averhart is an experienced professional with a diverse background in community outreach, marketing, and program coordination. Currently serving as the Director of Neighborhood Insights at Child Poverty Action Lab since August 2023 and as Program Coordinator at Big Thought since September 2022, Averhart also co-founded the United Peoples Coalition in July 2020, focusing on mutual aid and grassroots action. Additional experience includes roles such as Co-Owner at NASAgang Marketing/Promotions since July 2011, and various positions in marketing and community engagement with organizations like The Black Academy of Arts and Letters, House of Blues Entertainment, and BANDIER. Averhart has a solid educational foundation with a high school diploma from Skyline High School and attended Dallas College and the University of Houston-Downtown.
