Wei's earlier roles include Senior Scientist at Nektar Therapeutics, focusing on PEGylated cytokines, and positions at Vaxcyte and Stanford University, where significant contributions were made in protein engineering and virus-like particle research. Wei earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
