Christa Hayes

Christa Hayes is a seasoned educator and naturalist with extensive experience in academia and outdoor education. Currently serving as a Naturalist at Lone Mountain Ranch and holding positions as a PSIA Level 1 Ski Instructor at PSIA AASI Rocky Mountain and Ski Instructor at Big Sky Resort, Christa combines a passion for winter sports with educational endeavors. As the Executive Director of Peak Potential & Peak Academy since 2019, Christa leads an expeditionary learning school focused on grades 5-8 within the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Christa has also contributed to higher education as a Student Success Coordinator for Multivariable Calculus and Teaching Assistant Professor at Montana State University-Bozeman from 2007 to 2021, following a tenure as an Assistant Professor at Gettysburg College and various teaching roles at Montana State University-Bozeman. Christa holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics and additional degrees in Mathematics and Statistics, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with Biology, History, and Theology.
