Brandon Cortese

Brandon Cortese has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Starting in 2013, they played college football at McDaniel College while also working as a Work Study Student. In 2014, they moved on to NBCUniversal Media, LLC as an Infrastructure Engineer. In 2016, they had an internship as an IT Technical Writer at Educational Testing Service (ETS) and also worked as a Technology/Programmer Instructor at Lavner Camps. Moving forward, they joined IFS Services, Inc. in 2017 as a QA Tester Intern. Later that year, they transitioned to a role at McDaniel College as a Work Study Student. In 2018, they joined Billtrust as an Associate Application Support Engineer and advanced to become an Application Support Engineer. In 2020, they worked at Bank of America as an Application Support Engineer before joining Gecko Robotics, Inc. as a Software Support Engineer in 2021. Currently, they are a Team Lead - Application Support at Billtrust, starting in 2023.

Brandon Cortese earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Criminal Justice from McDaniel College, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. In January 2020, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA.
