Douglas Fleming has a strong background in environmental health and safety (EHS), sustainability, business continuity, and compliance. Douglas started their career at Raytheon in 2005 as the Director of Environmental Health and Safety, where they successfully implemented occupational health, safety, sustainability, and environmental programs. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as the Director of Environmental Health Safety & Security, where they developed world-class programs for safety performance and environmental compliance. Fleming then joined Twitter in 2013 as the Global Leader of EHS/BCP, where they established EHS programs and improved compliance and performance. Their most recent role, starting in 2015, is with Bio-Rad Laboratories, where they have held various positions and responsibilities, including Senior Director of Global EHS, Sustainability/ESG, and Business Continuity. In this role, Fleming has developed and standardized global EHS programs, aligned existing teams, and implemented performance metrics to enhance operational safety and environmental performance.

Douglas Fleming has an MBA in Leadership and Managing Organizational Change from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. Douglas also holds a BS in Environmental Studies and Occupational Safety from San Jose State University. In addition, they have additional certifications as an Associated Business Continuity Professional from DRI International and as a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor from the Board of Environmental, Health & Safety Auditor Certifications.
