Qiang (Charlie) Zhang is a Senior Scientist at Bio-Rad Laboratories since September 2022, possessing extensive experience in scientific research and development. Previously, Qiang served as a Research Assistant at Virginia Tech from August 2016 to September 2022, where Qiang contributed to the development of the first droplet-based tool for profiling single-cell DNA methylation through droplet-based bisulfite sequencing. Prior to that, Qiang worked as a Research Assistant at the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy & Bioprocess Technology from June 2013 to May 2016, focusing on a microfluidic droplet-sorting platform for single-cell dispensing and sequencing. Qiang holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Biotechnology from Virginia Tech, as well as both a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Qingdao University.
