Director Of Innovation Programs at BioCrossroads

Tara Hobson, PhD, serves as the Director of Innovation Programs at BioCrossroads since August 2025. Previously, Tara held various leadership roles at Indiana University School of Medicine from April 2013 to August 2025, including Director of Faculty Development, Director of Graduate Programs and Student Success, and Director of the IBMG Program Ph.D. Study. Additionally, Tara was an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Sociology at IUPUI from May 2011 to August 2017, teaching undergraduate courses focused on health, gender, and research methods, and also served as Assistant Director of the IUPUI Solution Center, overseeing a significant Lilly Endowment grant to enhance university-community collaboration. Early career experience includes roles as Program Coordinator at the Indiana State Department of Health and Project Manager/Research Assistant at the Institute for Research on Social Issues (IRSI). Tara holds a PhD in Higher Education Leadership from Indiana State University and an MA and BA in Sociology from Indiana University Indianapolis.
