Tanya du Plessis

Tanya du Plessis has a diverse and extensive work experience. Tanya started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of the Free State in 2004. Tanya then moved on to join Quintiles in 2005 and held various roles such as Clinical Data Management Specialist, Manager, Clinical Data Management, and Senior Team Lead. In 2017, they joined IQVIA as an Associate Director. Currently, Tanya holds the position of Chief Data Strategist and Solutions Officer at Bioforum the Data Masters since May 2021, and previously served as Vice President from September 2018 to May 2021.

Tanya du Plessis has a strong background in medical sciences and genetics. Tanya obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of the Free State, where they studied from 2000 to 2002. Following this, Tanya completed a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Molecular Genetics at the same university in 2003. Tanya further pursued their education and achieved a Masters in medical sciences (M.Med.Sc) with a focus on Haematology and Cell biology from the University of the Free State, completing their studies from 2004 to 2008.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, Tanya has obtained certifications to enhance their professional skills. Tanya obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in October 2012. Furthermore, they acquired the Certified Clinical Data Manager (CCDM) certification from the Society for Clinical Data Management in January 2011. These certifications reflect their commitment to expanding their knowledge and expertise in related fields.
