Richard Pearce

Richard Pearce is an experienced leader in business development and pipeline management within the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Head of Pipeline and Business Development at Biogen since 2021, Richard is responsible for developing therapeutic product pipelines, managing cross-functional program teams, and overseeing business strategy processes. Prior roles at Biogen include Executive Director of Business Development, where Richard led external growth evaluations and managed licensing strategies. Richard’s earlier experience includes positions at Merck KGaA and Merck Millipore, directing global service operations and business development initiatives, as well as a foundation in process development at AstraZeneca. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Organic Chemistry from The University of Manchester and a Master's degree in Marketing from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
