Yousuke Horikawa has an extensive work experience history in the medical field. Yousuke started their career in 2014 as a Pediatrician at Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group and held this role until 2023. During this time, they also served as the Chairperson for Tests, Diagnostics, and Therapeutics. In 2020, they became the Department Chair of Pediatrics at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns, a position they held until 2023. In 2017, they joined the University of California, San Diego as an Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor. Prior to that, from 2022, they worked at Biolife Plasma Services as the Medical and Lab Director. Their most recent role is as the Senior Medical Director at Choc Health Alliance, which they started in 2023.
Yousuke Horikawa holds a Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Southern California, obtained between 2020 and 2022. Prior to that, they completed a Pediatrics Residency Program at UC San Diego School of Medicine from 2011 to 2013. Yousuke also has a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cardiac Remodeling and Protection as well as Nutrition and Clinical informatics, earned from The University of Tokushima from 2010 to 2011. Yousuke Horikawa holds an MD/PhD from UC San Diego School of Medicine, completed between 2003 and 2011. Earlier in their education, they achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from UC Irvine, obtained from 1999 to 2003. Yousuke Horikawa has also been certified as a Certified Physician Executive (CPE) by the American Association for Physician Leadership in the year 2023.
