Thomas Li, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of medical research and healthcare. Thomas currently holds the position of Medical Director at Biolumina since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate Medical Director at AREA 23 on Hudson, An IPG Health Company from 2022 to 2023. Thomas also gained valuable experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 2021 to 2022, where they focused on cancer research. Prior to their postdoctoral role, Thomas Li was a PhD Candidate at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 2016 to 2021. Thomas also served as a Teaching Assistant at Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences from 2016 to 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Laboratory Technician at Weill Cornell Medicine from 2013 to 2015, where they contributed to breast cancer research projects.
Thomas Li, PhD started their education at The City College of New York from 2008 to 2010, where they pursued studies in biomedical engineering. Afterward, they attended Queens College from 2010 to 2012 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and psychology. Subsequently, they enrolled at the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in neuroscience from 2015 to 2021.
In addition to their academic degrees, Thomas Li also obtained two certifications. In August 2021, they earned a Certificate in Science Communication from CIERA - Northwestern University. Additionally, in December 2019, they completed the program "Launching Undergraduate Science Teaching Careers" at The Rockefeller University.
