Steven Schwarz

Steven Schwarz is a prominent figure in pediatric medicine, currently serving as a Professor of Pediatrics and Director of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University since August 2008. In addition to this role, Steven Schwarz holds the position of Director of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Children's Hospital at Downstate and serves as Vice Chair of the IRB at the Biomedical Research Alliance of New York. With extensive experience as a Senior Scientist on the Scientific Advisory Board at Curemark LLC and prior leadership as Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Long Island College Hospital, Steven Schwarz has significantly contributed to pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition. Earlier in academia, Steven Schwarz was a Professor of Pediatrics and Nutrition at New York Medical College and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania. Steven Schwarz completed a BA in Chemistry at Yale University and earned an MD from Columbia University.
